Privacy policy
What happens to the information you send us through this website, and the rights you have over it under the General Data Protection Regulation.
Last updated 12 September 2026.
Who is responsible
Plaixus P.C., the Greek entity of the Plaixus group, established in Athens, Greece, is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights below, write to info@plaixus.com. An engineer or a director will answer, not an automated system.
What we collect
We collect as little as the site can function with. There are three sources:
- The contact form. Your name, company, work email address, the topic you select, and the message you write. Nothing on the form is collected that you have not typed.
- Email you send us directly. Whatever the message contains, including your address and signature.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard web server entries, including IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser user agent. These are generated automatically by the server and are used for security and fault diagnosis.
This site sets no cookies of any kind, stores nothing in your browser, and runs no analytics or tracking pixels. That is why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner. Fonts, stylesheets and images are served from this domain, so loading a page sends your IP address to our hosting provider and to nobody else.
Why we process it, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- To keep a record of business correspondence. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in managing client and partner relationships, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- To keep the site available and secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating the service, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We do not use your details for marketing campaigns, we do not add you to a mailing list because you used the contact form, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Who else sees it
Only the processors that operate parts of the service on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions: our hosting provider, which runs this site and the script that turns a contact-form submission into an email, and our email provider, which delivers and stores that email. Personal data is processed within the European Economic Area wherever the provider offers it. Beyond these, we disclose personal data only where a law obliges us to.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a relationship: deleted within 24 months of the last exchange.
- Correspondence with clients and consortium partners: kept for the duration of the relationship, and afterwards for as long as accounting, contractual or EU funding obligations require.
- Server logs: retained by the hosting provider for a short rolling period and then overwritten.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or provide it in a portable format. You may object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interest. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting what was done beforehand.
Write to info@plaixus.com and we will respond within one month. No automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place on this site.
If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα), Kifissias 1-3, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr.
